do you give presents?

Recommended Posts

I always send a gift if I am invited to a wedding or shower - whether I attend or not. However I think a lot of people do not do this - which is OK with me

In this case I would NOT send a gift! I would have normally if she had NOT written that on her website but in this case I think she's ridiculous and rude.

We always send a gift if we are invited whether it's an annivesary, shower, birthday or weddding, if we had an invite and can't make it we still acknowledge the importance of the occassion.

We always send a gift as well. Recently I have had friends tell me that they don't want to attend a certain party b/c they are broke and don't want to give a gift, but to me you should send a gift no matter what. I give a gift even if the person's family or bridal party states that they don't want gifts. I feel like everyone deserves a little something special on their special occasion.

I don't always send a gift & I don't want everyone to send me gifts. We get several invites a month to weddings, kid's birthdays, showers, etc. They are all out of state for us, so we are not attending most of them. Some come from people who we haven't talked to in years & don't think we'll ever hear from again. I'm not going to blow my savings to send a gift to everyone.

Which thread is that inhuh.gif Holy cow that is so unbelievably rude!! I cannot believe someone would put that on their website..

I would buy a gift if I was close to that person but unable to attend.
