I'm using the bamboo room as well.  The only thing I thought of so far was stringing lights through the bamboo.  I might not do much though because I'm not going to have much more room in our suitcases because of our OOT bags.

FutureMrsHolt, I hope you'll share the pics you get from your fmil, so we can all come up with ideas!

I was also thinking about using string lights on the bamboo, but I didn't know if it's allowed. It is a very elegant and simple idea though ( and inexpensive which is always a plus!!)

CherryCola- I'm using the bamboo room but I haven't thought about decorations. My FMIL is going there in a couple weeks and going to take pictures so once I see it I will decide from there if I'm going to decorate it. I'm just trying to keep from bringing a lot of stuff down there!

I'm with you on trying to avoid bringing too much down there...I'm really battling with that one!

There are white chairs you can rent that do not require chair covers like the brown ones shown on the website. If you want the white chairs they are $9 if you want the brown they are $7 plus tax per chair. A couple of pages back I listed the price with pictures. I think it was on page 30 something in this thread. If you are ok with just white chair covers it's not additional to the cost of your wedding package.

I only  have a list of questions. I can't think of anything I want to bring there since I'm still a ways out from the wedding. I changed my cocktail to the blue bar so I will for sure have her check both that and the sports bar out!! I wish I was going with them. But it is nice to have them going there first and pretty early on.

My FFIL said the other day "What if we don't like the resort?"

My reply: VEGAS!!!!

FutureMrsHolt I was just at the resort a month ago and can tell you that your FFIL will have nothing to complain about, haha!  The Blue Beach Bar is elevated off the beach and has a great view.  I don't recall there being a ton of seating, but perhaps they'll bring more in or just replace with high tables for cocktail hour?  And the sports bar is fun, except the same old hip hop songs were always on repeat...

Random question:  Is everyone using the photographer and videographer included in the package?  I'm still on the fence whether or not to bring my own...

I'm totally a lurker...sorry guys!

I was just wondering if anyone was having their cocktail hour at the Orange Lounge? I haven't read the entire thread but it seems like most brides are choosing the blue beach bar...just wondering why? ;) I am having my ceremony on the beach...I have no idea where either bar is located and where the Festival terrace is located which is where my reception is going to be.

Really curious about this :) Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
