i with you, Lisa! I am not able to host multiple events for my guests. I'd love to, but unfortuneatly its not in my budget :(

I am looking forward to hear how you private event at the buffett goes. That might be the route I take for the Welcome Dinner/Rehearsal Dinner.

Did you ask Ivan for any recommendation cause I know he has some photographer friends?

Lisa, Ivan Luckie did give me a another name but I did not like his recommendations work.  I like Sasha's work too but not thrilled if you did not get responses -not a good sign.  I will keep looking.  thanks for the help.  btw, wedding is 2/21/11

Well I just got bad news from Ana this week.  Our wedding is May 6th, so most of our guests/wedding party are coming the 5th through the 8th or the 9th.  Well since the 5th is cinco de mayo, Ana is not working the holiday, so we can not do a rehearsal.  And our guests already booked and we cant ask them to come earlier and pay extra days.  So i guess no rehearsal for us :(

I am hoping the resort is doing some kind of celebration for cinco de mayo though so at least we can have some entertainment.

We weren't planning on having a rehearsal ourselves...just a welcome dinner (which you do not need the wedding coordinator for). My friend who go married in the Riviera Maya did not have a rehearsal and it all went very smoothly...the wc just told everyone when to go and what to do and it worked out just fine.

Erin, that sounds really weird. My first date was May 5th (I changed it to the 4th later) and there were already another wedding that day. So if she is not there than Pilar has to be there. However, we are not doing the rehearsal either just a welcome dinner, and we will be there to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with you :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
