Hey everybody!

I am getting married at Jade on December 5th. I have my wedding ceremony planned for 3:00 because I dont want sunset pictures. I am looking for examples of wedding programs that people made and also somewhat of a time line. I am worried that since we are getting married so early, the entire event will be over super early.

I'm getting married on Nov. 20th..which is close to yours..but I actually DO want sunset pictures so I"m not too sure if my timeline is helpful. But we are getting married at 4pm..then I plan to do pictures from 4:30-6:30ish. Our cocktail is from 6-7..and dinner reception is at 7.

My goodness ladies it's been so quiet around here lately...I guess all of the most chatty brides have already gotten married! Either that, or the forum is not so comprehensive that every conceivable question has been answered.

Ana just reminded me yesterday that she needs my planning for now, so I'm scrambling to make some last minute decisions. For those of you having a sit-down dinner where your guests have a choice of entrée, how did you/will you let the servers know who ordered what? I didn't want to tell people where to sit, but name cards on the table seems to be the best way to communicate this (ie. blue ribbon for pork and brown for fish). Any thoughts?

Does anyone have the booklet for this resort with the different packages available?  My FI and I are debating between this and one other resort and it's basically going to come to what each resort offers for the different types of packages.  If you could please email me at alybarter@gmail.com or PM me that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello girls,

I am now a Now Jade bride too ! We were supposed to go at the Dreams Riviera Cancun but we were dealing with Sunwing (flying from Ottawa, Canada) but they "forgot" us and only have 6 rooms left at the Dreams. And it's coming pretty soon, January 18th, 2012.

So, we were lucky enough to have space available at the Jade on the 18th.

Any advice would be appreciated, since I made all my planning around the Dreams...

Ceremony will be at the Pergola

Cocktail, probably blue bar but I would prefer Orange bar so I am working on it

Reception : On the Carnival terrace (I would love to hear your comments or pictures on this, because I am really not too sure about that one!)

What about DJ on site ?

Ana is my WC, she sent me flowers options which I am not really pleased by...anybody has advice on that ?

Thanks girls :)

Hi there, i picked all the same locations as you did. I don't have pictures or even get to talk to the WC at Now jade because i hired a planner...;S what a waist! lol

I'm not having a DJ, i decided to swap him for an extra hour of dancing. I'm bringing my friend as my photographer so swapped the photog service for an extra hr of video. We get private transfer one way incl in our wedding package but decided on swapping that for a free hair and makeup trial. i"ve swapped a lot but i like the fact that i don't have to pay extra for anything. I'll be there on nov 27th for my dec 2nd wedding and i feel like they know nothing on what i want, but i'm just going to wing it and hope it all turns out hehe. Congrats on your upcoming wedding

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
