I'm following pretty much the same overall timeline except my ceremony starts a little earlier.

5:30-6:00 Ceremony

6:00-7:00 Cocktail Hour

7:00-11:00 Reception

I just guessed about the reception timeline. I asked Pilar for her advice on this, but she didn't really answer my question. I hope this isn't too rushed, but I wanted to keep everything moving along. Any advice from recent brides would be great!

7:00-7:10PM GUESTS ARRIVE AT BAMBOO ROOM AND TAKE THEIR SEATS                                                                              7:10-7:15 ENTRANCE OF BRIDE & GROOM

7:15 FIRST DANCE

7:20-7:30 WELCOME/BLESSING

7:30 – 8:15 DINNER

8:15-8:20 CHAMPAGNE TOAST

8:30 CAKE CUTTING

8:45 FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE

        MOTHER/SON DANCE FOLLOWS

        DANCING FOLLOWS

9:30 BOUQUET TOSS

        MORE DANCING FOLLOWS

Irishdonna,

At this point we have close to 65 people attending. We arrive on November 27th and leave on December 4th.

Still not sure about the location of the reception, it really depends on how many people are going to be coming...

Hi Nita,

We used an outside photographer, and were just charged the "Guest Pass rate" which I believe was $65 and you just let Pilar know their full name, hours they'll be there, and they'll be let in.  This cost is per person, so guess you'd be charged x2.

Funny, I did the same thing.  I was SO excited about the personalized napkins that matched my theme, then I couldn't order them!! Frustrating.  Here's a few I either used (first 3), or was recommended:

Hope it helps!

Thanks Caroline.  $65 is not bad at all.  Lesa- I asked about Tiffany Chairs.  Pilar told me that the resort can rent them at $10 per chair.  I believe that includes the cushon.  The chairs come in bamboo, white, black, gold.  The cushions also come in an assortment of colours or white.

I'm leaving for Mexico in 5 days, and I'm feeling very nervous this morning.  I feel like half of the stuff that Ana and I have talked about and agreed upon she has forgotten about and we have regressed to 6 months ago!  I'm trying not to worry and hoping we can get it all figured out when we get to Mexico!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
