Hey Girls! I'm getting married at Now Jade March 21, its coming up so quickly! I've read all of your posts and it is so helpful.  We just booked our photographer his name is Derek Campbell and his website is PhotosInCancun.com if any of you are interested.  He seems very nice and he has been very quick to reply to all of my messages.  His prices seem reasonable as well and he has done a few wedding at Now Jade.  We went with the package for 5 hours and its 1000 dollars and you get all of the pictures he takes on a cd for the flat price.  Is anyone else getting married in March?  I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed now because for the most part I haven't done much planning and just planned on going with the flow once we get there.  We are only having 12 guests so it will be small and we don't want to spend a lot of money on all of the extras which now reading all of your posts I'm wanting to!

Lisa, I will see you there then! :) We have gotten the confirmation from Ana and our wedding date will be April 29th. You are welcome to spy! ;)

I am wondering what everyone has chosen as far as the cakes go? I am trying to fill out the planning form and figured since I don't have much planned the cakes would be a simple decision haha! We are going with the Eternity package so there are not a lot of options, but enough to have me confused.

Also, does anyone know if it costs extra to have a signature drink?

Hey Hanna, great news! Glad to hear you have a confirmation on the date. What day do you get there? The 27th? Is it a beach or pergola wedding and at what time?

I haven't picked what cake I want yet, unfortunately I heard they don't do a great job from previous brides but desert is also served so hopefully that won't matter.

They didn't tell me it cost more for a signature drink. I can't see why as long as it is a product or brand that they serve.

I am not sure when we will get there, but guessing on the 27th. It is a Pergola wedding at 5.30PM. Our original time was 6PM in May, but I felt stressed about getting enough time for the picture taking so I moved it 30 min. What time is your wedding?

I don't think a lot of people will be eating cake, so I'm not too worried. I would like it to look somewhat pretty though :)

I have another question, do you need to fill out the whole planning form at once or can I send updates when we know more? I don't trust that the WCs will keep up with new information and such.

I have a few questions.....

Since a lot of ppl are getting outside photographers, are you all going with a package, or doing a la carte? I have the divine package.

How long are everyone's receptions???  My schedule is 6pm beach ceremony, 7pm cocktail at blue beach bar, 8-11 reception in bamboo room. I think 3 hours is short for a reception, was anyone able to get an extra hour??

From brides who have been there, what location is better for a cocktail hour, the blue beach bar or the orange lounge?

And, lastly, has anyone done a deep sea fishing excursion?? And what company did you use??

Thanks for you advice!!! :)

Ok ladies, I am officially worried/stressed.  My FI packed up all the decorations and stuff that I am bringing with us and we have 2 suitcases, 2 duffel bags, 1 box of crystal curtains and 2 boxes of vases.  That is not including a suitcase each for us for our clothes.  That is 9 bags!!!!  OMG -what have I done?  I think that I am going crazy...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
