I got married in December 3rd and we did our wedding on the beach =)  We originally wanted to have our reception on the beach as well but it got quite chilly at night so we had the reception in the bamboo room and it was amazing as well.  Here is the a picture of our wedding on the beach

Hi! When is your wedding in AUG? Mine is AUG 5th. I was going to do a beach ceremony, but I hear it's hot, and windy, and the beach isn't very private. Another bride on here said she stood with a huge group of ppl and watched as another couple got married. I was going to do an outdoor reception, but I hear the mosquitos are really awful.

Something to think about I guess. :)

My wedding is August 18th.  I don't mind the wind too much.  Also I'm hoping that since August is off-season that the resort isn't too packed so there aren't too many people lingering around.

I plan on getting good quality bug spray for the OOT bags...so I hope that takes care of the mosquito problem.

I just feel like a wedding in Mexico should be outdoors.  I hope everything works out.

Luckily I have family and friends that enjoy the outdoors.

ChristieAnn - I'm getting married August 6th!  We'll probably run into each other!  We're doing a beach ceremony.  We were at the resort mid August last year and yes, it was a little windy and hot, but nothing too bothersome.  There was a beach wedding the weekend we were there and yes, we were one of those gawkers on the side!  We thought about all this before choosing this resort and this beach, but the view is just so beautiful!  I don't mind if there are a few people watching our wedding....as long as I don't have to feed them :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
