JessnNeil - Ana is my WC as well and she said that Now Jade no longer allows swaps.  If you don't want to use the flowers in the package, then you could do a la carte.  I know that there were brides that were able to switch some services for others, but apparently, they don't break the packages apart anymore.  I tried too, but got shot down multiple times :(

Hello!

My girls are carrying parasols instead of flowers - I have seen quite a few pics of this and LOVE how it looks.  It's very affordable which is even better!!  If you go to lunabazaar.com they have a lot of inexpensive options!!

By reading this thread I just realized that the $53 pp for the dinner does not include the apps, toast, drinks, etc that the rest of the package includes.  I thought $53 pp was expensive just to include all of that because the resort is afterall, all-inclusive.  hmmmmm.  I have been reading about how people were able to substitute items within the package or work out a deal on the pricing.  I would be interested in any tips on saving money.

I received info from Pilar which states that bows and flowers on the chairs cost $5 per chair.  I asked her if we could bring our own bows (no flowers) for the chairs and she told me that they would charge $1 per chair for set-up and ironing.  I found a site that offers chairs sashes for $5.99 per 10.  even with the extra $1 charge from the resort, that still saves me over $100.  I am also thinking of bring my own table runners aslo.

I just had my wedding at Now Jade on 12-2-10.  It was beautiful.  I did the fountain for the wedding and I did the bamboo room for the reception.  It was awesome.  The bamboo room has two walls of windows that overlook the courtyard and the ocean.... it was perfect.  After seeing the resort, I think it is the best choice for dinner and reception.

I brought my chair bows and table runners.  I did not get charged the extra charge for ironing.... but I let Pilar keep the bows and table runners.  I got them so cheap and didnt want to haul them back home with me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
