We are just in the process of booking with NOW Sapphire for the end of July 2011.  We're confirming the exact dates and checking to see what dates they have available for weddings.  They only do 2 weddings a day so I want to make sure that I can have my pick for the ceremony and reception.

Hello,

I'm considering both Jade and Sapphire, but it'll really come down to what prices my TA can get and what they have available for weddings for the dates I sent them. Anyways, wanted to point you to a different thread that has more info about the Sapphire specifically. It used to be a Paradisus resort, so that's why it's sometimes hard to find if you just do a search:

Hey Girls,

I wanted to go back to the flower discussion for a second.  Ana told me that I absolutely could NOT bring in an outside florist.  Ally- did you book your date before the change in management?  I hope that I can, since I actually do want a lot of flowers but the resort florist prices are OUT OF CONTROL!

Also, thanks so much for the review Ally!  I would love to see some pictures whenever you get a chance!

jystar13..I can't WAIT for your review..I'm very excited that we are staying there this January to check it out!  The other two resorts we will be visiting are Secrets Silversands and Dreams Riviera Cancun..

We kinda have our money on NOW Sapphire because I'm thinking it's gonna be the most affordable for our guests...!!

I got married on Nov. 12th!! My very detailed review is coming soon but in the mean time, hopefully you can get a better idea about weddings here. Oscar Video did this "highlight reel" for us. He did a great job! NOW Jade was the perfect place to get married!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
