Hi Ladies!

I am taking a planning trip to the Jade Jan. 14-16 to try to figure out where I want to have my reception. I had it reserved for the beach, but it is SO windy, and I am having second thoughts. If you would like me to take any pics of anything or get any questions answered for you since I will be meeting with Pilar, feel free to send me a PM and I will do my best to help you!!!

Hi Ally,

Thank you so much for your review, it's very helpful.  Especially the recommendation for the florist.  A couple questions regarding the flowers, do you have any pics you could post of the flowers (either bouquets or centrepieces)?  Also did you book one of the wedding packages?  If so, what did you do about the flowers that are included in the package, were you able to swap for something else?  Did the resort charge anything for the other florist to come in?  Did they have to help set-up the flowers, or did your contact set everything up as well?  At the Pergola and the reception, or did you just have the flowers in the reception area?

Thanks so much!  Appreciate your insight.

Caroline

Congratulations Ally!!! Thanks for the review. I am already taking notes. Good to know that you need to make sure Pilar writes down all the little details. I sort of worried about that. I am making a list now to give to her with everything just in case since we are bringing all of our own decorations. I have heard from others about the service being really slow. My only concern is with drinks at the reception. I am going to talk to Pilar about this and see if it's possible to add 1-2 more servers/ cocktail waiters so we don't run into this.

The excursions sound like a blast. I am thinking of checking out the ATV through the jungle and swimming in the cenote. Thanksa gain for all the great info!

Only 13 more days to go!!!!!

Also..wanted to share my idea - my girls will be carrying parasols instead of flowers...we have a large wedding party and the extra flowers are VERY expensive - and it's just not my style.  The parasols are about $5 - $8 on www.lunabazaar.com

Happy Planning!!  I'm lovin' it!!  cheer2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
