Welcome Babybird!

Is anyone who is using the resort photographer planning on doing a TTD?  I ask Ana how much it would cost and she said she didnt know.  I also asked how much for set up fees if I bring my own centerpieces and she said she didnt know.  I guess I won't be able to figure out a final budget anytime soon.  Maybe after Tracy gets married we'll get all the real info!

"Finally i dont know if this has been asked anywhere on here before but I feel like I know you ladies and wanted to ask you what you thought........My e ring has a thick platinum band and we have started to look at wedding bands (i want a thin band with a few dimonds on it) and I really dont want to spend more then like $500 on my band, but obv cant get a platinum band with a few dimonds on it for $500.........so here is my question.....Is it cheesy to get a white gold band to go with my platinum e ring? will it look different color, less shiney?  And if not is there a big difference beteween 14k and 18k gold? Thanks girls!!  "

Keep in mind that platinum will form a "Patina" with wear that other metals don' (because it is soft but strong, the metal will form scratches and dings rather then wearing down and losing metal. Platinum is less fragile than other metals)

Palladium will match it best at the beginning but will not wear the same way at all. I'n not sure if you can constantly have you platinum polished to keep it looking like your band but it's a possibility.

Erin

I was told there are no set up fees for centerpieces or some decor but if you wanted special decor or lounge chairs and tables then there is a cost for those.

Are you bringing christmas type lighting or rope lighting and if so how much of it cause I would like to do the same thing but not sure exactly what to use or how much? From what I understand anything you bring they will set up if you tell them in the first meeting but if you need to rent any type of decor that is what costs money.

Lisa and ldunson,

I got christmas type lighting but I got it at Michael's craft store and it's actually called wedding lighting.  The only different is that the wire is all white whereas christmas lights usually have that green wire.  Here's a link that has the exact brand I got: http://www.csis.hypermart.net/victorialynnweddinglights.html

Mischaka,

Did you get quotes from the photographer on how much he charges for the TTD session?

Does anyone else have trouble posting sometimes?  Anyway, thanks SKing!  I found some rope lighting too from ACE Hardware.com that's a pretty good deal.  How much are you using?  I have no clue!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
