Awesome Tracy. When is your wedding? I can't seem to find anyone before me and would love to see what he does with his pics at the Now Jade!

I finally booked our trip for our April 16, 2011 wedding! I have a few questions. How early should I start negotiating with the wedding planners. I have seen a lot of things on here a lot of you have done and would like to do some of the same things. Also, what kind of entertainment do they have there that would be free and fun for everyone to see? Has anyone had any trouble finding enough rooms for your guests? If I think of anymore I will post on here! Thanks for the help everyone!

Welcome and congrats on booking the resort! My advice is start negotiating right away. They are pretty sticky though so good luck! I know they have movies on the beach, firedancers, a carribean night, a mexican night, they release baby turtles into the sea, they have a lion that comes around for picture and a bunch of other stuff. If you are on facebook go to their page and there is alot of info there!  Have you decided on what package you are taking? Are you looking for a local photographer? If so I would totally recommend Ivan Luckie Photography. I booked him recently and he is amazing to deal with and reasonable with his prices. He is on facebook also!

Hi Everyone!

I was checking the forum and I saw your post. I'm glad to tell you that I'm a preferred vendor for both Resorts Sapphire & Jade. Both places are an excellent option when you are looking for a wedding venue. I have being very lucky to be part of several weddings there. the wedding coordinators are so wonderful and understanding that they will be such a great help for you.

I wanted to share with you some pictures of the great places they have so you can see and actual wedding set up. Please enjoy!!! HAPPY PLANNING msnwink.gif

I sure will Kristie! No clue yet though. I have seen those pictures and they are gorgeous, mainly because he is so gorgeous lol but that is just a plain cenote with lighting on the rocks. There are some really nice ones out there. Check out this website http://www.playamayanews.com/area_info/cenotes_the_sacred_waters_of_the_riviera_maya.html

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
