Hi SNL2011....just wondering if you remember anything about the Orange lounge and the festival terrace??  I'm not getting much help with locations and different pictures from the WC at the Now Jade...

Our wedding is in November so I wanted an outside wedding which is why I chose the Festival terrace but I'm not sure where it's located...close to the blue beach bar? close to the orange lounge? Have no clue! Thanks for your help!

Hey Kristie

The Orange lounge is close to the seaside garden location, the festival terrace is beside pergola which is beside the blue beach bar. I chose the blue beach bar because i am getting marrried at the pergola and the blue beach bar is right beside it and the bamboo room where my reception will be is right behind the pergola. If you go on the now jade website they have a vitual map which will help you with locations.

I'm having my ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour at festival terrace, and reception in the bamboo room.  I thought the festival terrace and the bamboo room were next to each other...am i mistaken?

Sara I think Las Olas is inside, and im not sure about whether it has a patio.

It's really hard making these decisions without seeing the resort!

Well I finally heard back from Pilar with my quote spreadsheet. Still shows only one centerpiece so I will be discussing that with her. She did have all of my changes on there which was nice that I felt like she finally paid attention!

I'm having the Blue Bar for my cocktail because my reception is right there at the Bamboo room.

The festival terrace is right beside the bamboo room. If you are looking at the resort from the beach, the terrace is to your left. The Las Olas is covered but it is an open air restaurant.

Hi Ladies!!! It has been awhile since I have been to this site so I am just catching up on all the conversations and great ideas!! My wedding is only 3 months away!! December 13th. I felt like there was a period where I didn't have much to do, but now I am starting to freak out a lil ;)  Is there any other December brides out there? It seems like everyone is getting married in the spring of 2011. I am getting married on the beach, reception is in the bamboo room which it seems like alot of others are using too, and cocktail at the Blue Bar.

Sking24- I love the idea of the lights on the bamboo! So simple and elegant..let me know if you hear back from Pilar if this is okay. I'd like to do the same.

CherryColaLola- I am doing the poms (made out of tissue paper) for my decorations! I emailed Pilar about hanging them and she said they could do it with plastic thread. She also sent me a few more detailed pics of the Bamboo Room including the flower light on the ceiling so I would get an idea of how they would look. PM if anyone would like to see those pics of the room.

What is everyone doing for flowers for the BM's? I think I am going to do a sibgle calla lilly for mine since I think it looks really sharp and with 7 BM's the bouquets are just to much! I also think it is ridiculous they charge $7 a chair!!! I like those better, but we are going with free.

Hi FutureMrsHolt!

What info did you give Pilar in order to get your quote? I'm a little nervous because my wedding is in January and I haven't received a quote yet. Did you only get it because you are close to your date now?

CherryCola-

Like FutureMrsHolt said-just ask Pilar.  I find the quotes really helpful because it shows whether or not she has been paying attention to all the emails and requests.  I've already gone through about 5 quotes now-but my wedding is just over a month away (and it still isn't finalized...but getting close!).

It gives you a really good idea of what you are actually getting charged for and if you need to make adjustments.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
