Travel deal for Now Jade Riviera if your wedding is before November of this year!

I hope it's not against the forum rules to post this!

Just FYI ladies-I'm using a TA and have a group rate-but since I've already got a free room and upgrade with the guests that have booked so far-I've been looking for outside deals for my guests that haven't booked yet.

This deal is only good for people staying 5 nights (most of our guests are).

Here's the link:

Now Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa Photo

If you scroll down-there are Featured Packages for 5 nights. There are some really great deals for anyone travelling until the end of October, 2010.

You can even use the code ENTERTAINMENT55 for an extra $55 off the package.

One of our guests just booked through them and was able to get the a room, airfare for 2 from Houston and airport transfers for $1511 (and that included all the taxes). Not bad for 2 people for 5 nights. It even included $200 in resort coupons and a free round of golf.

It looks like this special is only good for a few more days though. Just thought I'd pass this along-might be good even for some of you getting married there next year that want to do a site visit.

I feel like I am so far behind all of you ladies. I finally confirmed May 23, 2010 for our wedding. I haven't started any negotiations with Pilar and I'm not sure how far in advance I should start the negotiating. Right now I'm struggling with getting info from my TA. She always seems to be out, which I guess makes since to a certain extent, but three weeks at a time and hearing "there's no rush" is not making me feel better.

Sorry for the venting, but I just needed to get it off my chest. Any TA suggestions or suggestions for anything would be great!

Much love!

jen

Jen, You're not behind. I havent really started talking to Pilar yet at all. Just one email about our deposit/wedding confirmation. I've been dealing mainly with my TA, and we haven't even signed our contract for the group rates yet. I'll PM you with her info. Ive been very happy with her so far.

Ladies,

I'm sure if you check back occassionally, they will run the special again! One of my guests got the deal, but the others didn't get it in time! What is everyone choosing for flowers? I want something more tropical and am not too excited about the options the have for the Devine pkg...

Thats over $100 per person! I am trying to get advice about negotiating these prices because I think its ridiculous to pay so much per person when these people are already staying at the resort...

I just got our prices from Pilar this morning. I didnt realize every price had a service charge and tax on top of it. We're going to be thousands over what we budgeted!!

Ok ladies what is everyone choosing for the ceremony set up?? the divine package comes with white covered chairs and a white table but thats all. All the pictures they show have many upgrades........ I really like the picture with the canopy and the orange bows on the chairs!! A emailed Pilar to see what the charge will be so we will see. Has anyone made any upgrades to the ceremony sight yet?

I haven't made any upgrades yet. I'm thinking that I might just bring bows possibly. We are so over budget right now with the dinners for the extra guests that I don't want to add more to that. If we didn't want to do the first dances and stuff I would just to it in a restaurant instead. Now I can't afford my outside photographer and that bums me out!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
