Hiya ladies!

We're getting married at the Tequila next January, has anyone been or planning to go? My main question is does anyone know if there's laundrette facilities there? Or if not, where? We've booked for two weeks, and i have a two year old son who gets through about 3 t-shirts a day, we simply don't own enough clothes for him to get through 14 days!

cheers, jo

Hey janapana! I checked online and the hotel descriptions on all of the travel sites say that laundry services are available (though it's usually an additional fee I think).

I've been to the Riu in Puerto Vallarta and my sis just came from the one in Cancun, they're AMAZING! You'll have so much fun.

Another Tequila bride! I get married there 5th October 2010! They do have a Laundry and they are able to steam your dress if needed.

Have you had any contact with the WC yet?

Just noticed your from the UK to, have you looked into which documents you need? Originally we were told we need our birth certs translated, however as neither of us have been married or changed our name, someone told us we only need copies of our originals - what have you been told?

Have you been there before? We stayed there in Sept 2008 - so if you have any questions about the resort let me know!

Sorry for all the questions - excited to have found a Tequila bride!

Hiya Mrs P!

We booked the hotel and flight with thomson, but booked the wedding direct with riu through gabriela. since we confirmed about a month ago, i´ve had no contact with anyone. i´ve a friend on facebook who got married at the tequila who booked the whole thing through thomson, and she didn´t need any extra document at all. (incidentally do you know what a hague apostile is?)

neither of us have been married before or changed our names, so i´m hoping it will be simple enough, although FI still only has short birth certificate, so need to get a full one organised.

saying that, i´m not very organised at all, lots of vague ideas , but nothing concrete! still struggling to find a dress!

i can´t wait to go to mexico, we´ve never been before, or to any riu´s. i spent ages on trip advisor looking at the ratings and reviews, and the tequila seems to be great value. we´ve also got friends and family coming from spain and the uk, so it needed to be as cheap as possible.

looking forward to picking your brains!

jo

We've gone through Thomson's as well, holiday and wedding! We've had the wedding pack through and completed all the forms and had our date confirmed, but that's about it.

Try this website for birth certs - https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/c...es/default.asp. Seems pretty simple, need to get copies of ours as heard they could want to keep the originals.

Not heard of a hague apostille, but know that you get any translated documents apostilled - verified in a way I suppose!

The Tequila is gorgeous, I keep reading the new reviews on Trip Advisor and it still sounds just as good!

I saw this review on there the other week, they've got some wedding photo's on there as well

I spend almost as much time on trip advisor as i do on facebook, getting a little bit obsessed i think! I emailed the girl whose review you put a link to, and she added me to her facebook friends so i could see her pictures, it looked stunning! She had her hair and makeup done there and was really pleased with it.

I´m so excited, keep looking at all the things i could do, like decorations for the table, oot bags, wedding favours.... but i know full well i won´t bother, if nothing else i won´t have room in my suitcase!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
