We will be at Sandals Negril in December for our wedding, and we are just going to one of the restaurants after the ceremony. It will only be 6 of us, and quite honestly, I don't understand paying $75 per person plus table fees, if you want them all to match your particular MS wedding theme, when food and drinks are included in the resort. I guess for larger weddings, you would need a reception since they can't reserve tables for large parties. My FI and I are saving to buy a house after the wedding, so we are going as simple as possible at the resort, except for our rooms - at both Sandals Negril and Sandals Whitehouse (our honeymoon site) we reserved concierge level rooms! Plus, we are having a reception back home. Hope this helps :)

We are getting married a Beaches Negril May 8th and have 27 guest coming. We've decided to do the 3hr reception with the steel drum band for the first hr and a DJ for the last two. We kept the BB package but are adding green cimbidiums to that. We are not having a reception at home so we wanted it to be really special for us and our guest coming.

We just got back from our wedding at Sandals Negril and I have to say that we are SO glad we did the 2 hour private reception dinner. We had a large group (34) so getting a table at the restaurant wasn't even an option. The staff did such an amazing job and I dare say that the food was even better than what you would get in the restaurant. The only thing that we added was the lantern decor from the Flutter of Romance package and we're so glad we did! It was beautiful.

Wow! I'm really impressed! I wasn't even thinking of upgrading the theme now I might! These are beautiful pictures. Did the resort take all your pictures?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
