Welcome! Based on my own research it seemed like a lot of Mexican locations seemed to charge a fortune for the reception dinner per person, even at the all inclusive resorts. Based on that, I'm looking at Jamaica (and because I would prefer a legal ceremony in English). If you don't plan on having a ton of people coming with you, it's probably worth doing Mexico especially given your location. Otherwise, maybe look into an AI in Jamaica. Good luck.

Congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum! I'm partial to Punta Cana since that's where I'm getting married. There are so many resorts to chose from!! Jamaica is also a great location. Check out the threads and see what catches your eye. Good luck and enjoy your planning!

Hi Angela, you're in the South so the Caribbean is a great place to head for a DW. I'm having mine in Turks & Caicos so of course I am partial to there but I did research a few other islands before deciding on it so if there are any questions I can answer please don't hesitate to ask. (I was also born and raised in the Caribbean and have vacationed on many of the islands growing up and still do today). Happy planning and good luck!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
