Ok, so I have to make my own invitations, because as I posted before, FI thinks that it is something we "don't really need" I was searching for vellum... palm tree or something tropical. I visited all my local scrapbook stores, and they can't even special order anything like that for me. So do you ladies have any ideas of something simple, but nice and beachy that I could make my DIY invites from.... I really didn't want to do message in a bottle (even though I love them) but they are going to be too expensive for me to ship... So any picutes of invites you ladies have already made or plan to do would be very helpful...

Have you thought about printing your own vellum? You could have a pattern and scale it back to 30% and print...

I actually think really simple invites are very pretty... what about a DIY kit? You could always glue on a shell or something? or use a colored paper as a backing sheet to give it more weight.

oopss.. I just meant you could print a pattern on the vellum.. sounded like you wanted somthing for an overlay but weren't able to find it.. I guess it depends on your printer too.. some work better than others. I believe that's how the girls that created the picture frame centerpieces did it.. they printed photos on vellum...

ooohh.. that would be pretty, either a beach scene or a light photo of the two of you with your wedding invite wording behind it..

tie it with a bow and tada!!

(mind you I'm having someone create my invites) :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
