Canadian Newbie St. Lucia

Hello everyone,

My fiancé and I got engaged on Valentine's Day. Soooo excited!

I decided to join the forum because I saw so many marvelous ideas and DIY projects!

We are thinking about getting married in July 2011, in St. Lucia. We would like to say YES @ Jade Mountain resort while our guests will probably stay at the Anse Chastanet (sister resort). Is anyone have been there or hear about weddings at this resort ?

I am a little bit worry about the weather in July but every website says that St Lucia has a good weather year round... And that would be easier for our guests to get there in July too...

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas on this great forum!

LilyRose :-)

Congrats on your engagement! Jade Mountain is awesome! My fiance' and I stayed there last May and it was amazing! If you have any questions feel free to ask! I did make "vaca friends" with one of the couples there, the wedding was private and very pretty. I did rain thoughsad.gif But they made the best of it, after all it is said to be good luck if it rains on your wedding day. The weather there is nice for the most part. If it rains, it usually will clear up with in an hour or so, and never really cold. They also have lots of options on places to have the ceremony. Again if you have any questions just ask, would love to help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
