Where have all the RMB Brides gone?

This Jamaica section seems to be dominated by ROR and other resorts but the RMB posts have slowed down.

Any past brides have any advice on the choices available when you get onsite?

Any new brides having any dilemas?

Nic & Mark

I'm leaving for my RMB wedding in three weeks...I don't think I have any problems to encounter yet, but then again, I am the world's laziest bride. I am going to make all my decisions the Monday before the Wednesday wedding, and use whatever things they have there to make the wedding memorable.

Once I am back I can report on the happenings, but right now, I'm just going with the flow. Making sure I have my passport, wedding ring and fiance. All we really need...right?

Hey! I am still getting married at Riu Montego Bay!

My FI and I were having problems finalizing the price of accomodations for our guests. We had to go through a travel agency to receive better rates for our guests, as opposed to dealing with the actual resort! But, we are still scheduled for our 10/15/10 wedding! =D

Hey Perplexy, how are you delivering your OOT bags to your guests?

I am not doing OOT bags...too much work. Our guests are very, very close friends and family and they all understand our need to keep this wedding as simple and cost efficient as possible.

My FI have been married to each other for the last four years (living common law) so this is just a small step in our lives to legally get that piece of paper. No big deal. (OMG...am I the laziest/worst bride, or what?!?)

Sorry I don't have a better answer. But if I did have them, what I would do is give out the OOT bags at our Stag n Doe to the people that are coming - that way, everyone will have them before leaving. Less weight for us on the plane. :)

hey ladies!

how is planning coming along? Hope you have a beautiful wedding perplexy! My wedding is the 15th of May, so unfortunately I doubt you will be there when I arrive sad.gif. I'm sure everything will be just perfect...and much less stressful with letting the planning for when you arrive!

I was hoping some fellow RMB brides would post more info too, I feel like there hasn't been anything added in a while either.....

I will try to post some more info (at least a review) after my wedding!

There is definitely a lot of info on past threads, though, that has made my planning go very smooth (at least I hope)!

nic&mark,

I am so happy you started this thread. I was wondering about the rest of us as well. There are a billion threads abour ROR but not much for RMB. Though Geralyn's thread was very informative. I also wish that there ws more info on vendors for from mb and set ups of those who did the beach reception. Congrats to all who has a wedding soon. Mine is in 53 days. woooo hooo.

Hello everyone,

Haven't checked ii this thread in a while...so exciting some of your wedding are coming soo fast! Thought i would check in to see if I could help with any questions.

Tani~ We did OOT bags. We assembled them all when we first got down there (our guests didn't come for another day or 2)and then brought the big box down by the pool and handed them out as our guests arrived...worked out pretty well

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
