Beaches Boscobel Brides - post your info and attachments here

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone - I am getting married at Beaches Boscobel on 1/9/10. I was just wondering what your experiences were with it being a family resort. I personally would have preferred an adults-only....but my fiance's brother wanted to bring his kids. Now my parents just booked (through a different travel agent) and asked them why we picked this resort since it is so family oriented. What are your thoughts on this, and how did you feel when you were there? I don't mind children, but the way this TA described it sounded pretty extreme.

Thanks!!!

We chose Beaches b/c we had nieces and a nephew that were very important to us to have there. I wouldn't have changed anything. Sure, there were Sesame show that happened sometimes, but I don't think it interfered in our honeymoon at all. Our small group (about 25 people) was there for 4 days, and then Matt stayed an additional 5 days after that. We mostly spent our time in our room (ahem) or at the beach. Nights were spent at one of the restaurants or bars. I think it was perfect. But we weren't looking to party either. We wanted to spend the time after our families left alone together, so it was very intimate time for us.

Hi everyone- I am getting married at Beaches Boscobel next month on September 26. We are still trying to plan things and I have had a difficult time getting info from the WC, so I was very thankful to have found this site to help me. I wish I had found you all sooner!

We are planning to have a private reception after the ceremony, our wedding will be pretty small, 17 including us. We are trying to figure out what to do for entertainment for the reception, any recomendations? We were thinking the island band or dj..

As far as decorations- did anyone go with the Preston Bailey collections? I almost booked one until I realized they were silk flowers and have probably been used before..we didn't get the floral catalog until today so I am trying to figure out decorations too.

Again- thank you all- I have gotten more info from this website than the WC and I am relieved to see that everyone had a great time when they actually got there.

I had my reception on the venetian terrace, and for music I brought an ipod and speakers. We bought the hanging globe lights (or whatever they are called) and other then that it was just us and our guests (25 people total). I wouldn't change a thing, it was perfect! • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
