Tropical Pictures-Majestic Colonial

I'd love to hear too! They are the resort photog at the resort we're getting married at and I wonder if it's worth $1500-2000! I find the camera tilted on a lot of the photos and that's just not my taste at all! Slightly too 80/90s for me.

Tropical Pictures does have 2 facebook pages!  I'm getting married at the Majestic Elegence Resort and Tropical Pictures are the onsite photogrpahers.   A lot of pictures to best judge their work.  Here are the links:

I have booked Tropical Pictures for my August 11, 2012 wedding.  Their Facebook has a wide range of pictures.  Pictures are important for capturing this special moment but I don't want to pend an arm and a leg for them.  I chose a package for $700 and will have friends and family documenting the entire week.  I think the $300 for anyone other than PhotoPhil is ridiculous and Phil is not there during my wedding (not that I wanted to spend 2K for pics).SUBMIT

I just got back from my wedding at the Majestic Elegance and I used Tropical Photos for the week. THEY WERE AMAZING!! Junior, Kiko and Joel made me and my Husband their best friends for the week.

We went with the top package (24k). We had a getting ready session, ceremony session, post ceremony, reception coverage, trash the dress and a freestyle session.  We received 400 photos on disc, another disk with a photo and music montage, 250 6x8, 150 5x7, 30 12x18s, 1 large album and 1 small album for us and 3 parents albums...all for $2500, plus the $500 in tips we paid out. And it was all worth it!! I am a wedding planner in New York City and it can cost $3000 just to get the photographer to shoot your event...forget about the cost of albums and proof prints!

The guys were happy to work with us when it came to shoot times....we didn't feel like getting up at 4:45am the day after the wedding for the sunrise trash the dress session..so we set up a better time for us and they were happy to accommodate!

All in all they were amazing and I was very happy with the decision to use them! Junior will actually be heading to NY for a vacation and we have plans to go out for drinks...professional...fun...and now friends!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
