WARNING-Scam- AH Fashions- Linen Suits

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just want to let everybody know what happened to me today. Last week I tried ordering a linen suit from AH Fashions. Well I still hadn't seen the charge and I have been emailing them. Of course I am anxious to know that it has shipped. Well today they started emailing me. They said our zip code and address didn't match the address I provided.

They wanted another credit card number from me. I called Chase, my bank, and they said that they had already charged my card $185.71 twice, tried for a 3rd time and they blocked it becauase they were afraid it was fraud. So I had to cancel my debit card. In one of the emails I said something to the affect that I did not believe they were Americans because it seemed they had a language barrier. This was their emailed response to my questions:

You seriously have issues.

It's not our fault that your credit card flags each transaction as fraud. You are more than welcome to post any types of comments about our website. make sure you put them everywhere. write about us and tell everybody NOT to shop from us as i am sure people would listen to you.

As for the fact you state i am not american, yes, i am Italian and i am proud of the fact that we don't have shallow, fat, and basically stupid girls there.

Good Luck with your marriage and know in America, 2 out of 3 marriages fail.

do not shop from us again!

WARNING I would take this into consideration before ordering from them. I think they were just mad that I wouldn't give them another credit card number. Now I have wasted a week waiting on a suit I will never get.

I think they pay to advertise on this site and I think somebody should look into them and remove them. Because I hate for any other girls to have to go thru this process. sad.gif

OMG! I CANNOT believe that anyone would ever write that to someone else. Talk about "customer service" I would report them to the Better Business Borough or something if they are even a reputable company! I'm sorry that you had to endure such rudeness. Don't worry though, there's this little thing called KARMA that I'm just in love with! :)

Good luck in finding your suit and don't allow stupid people to make you upset.

I can't believe they were that rude to you! Wow, that is pretty incredible- especially since they charged your card twice and then went for a third try! I agree that you should report them to the better business bureau. Thanks for letting everyone know about these losers- you've probably saved some other bride from getting scammed.

Mrs. Lewistobe sorry to hear about your experience. $99 for linen suits that is a steal. I read the original post and know two of the brides were happy but it is coming all the way from India and so much can go wrong.

I ordered my fiance's suit from Menwearhouse. Right now they have a sale where the linen suits are $250 and you get the second suit for $100 (since he has 3 groomsmen) it worked out to each person paying about $150. The linen shirts they will wear are from a store near my house Guayabera Shirt, The Guayabera Shirt Company. They have cuban guayaberas and lots of linen shirts of excellent quality. (Shirts are typically around $30 with a 10% discount if you mention it is for a wedding). Hope everything goes better in your search.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I did realize those were google ads and I don't know what can be done to remove them. JanineA, I appreciate the info and I will check out those websites. I have less than a month, so I definitely have to hurry. I guess this is what we get for waiting to the last minute!

Glad to help. Let me know if I can help anymore. I have still been looking around for other linen suit places, since linen is so popular here in Miami. Good luck I know everything is going to turn out fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
