Dance lessons

Recommended Posts

Brett is not the best dancer either. He had catillion when he was younger so he knew some steps, but he has "movement issues" as I like to call them. Also, he doesn't really like dancing all that much.

I love to dance. We took free lessons in college - 10 years ago - and we fought a lot. Stop leading, I will if you lead, etc...

This class actually taught him how to lead and me how to follow and it made all the difference. Last night the teacher actually asked us if we'd had classes on swing before because we dance so naturally together. I think this was just what we need to take away our frustrations of dancing together and get him out there with me!

That is a great idea and I have been looking for one in my area. Matt is a dancer and I am so not. Now, I didn't say he was a necessarily "good" dancer, but he loves it. I never have and never will enjoy it. I have this thing about people looking at me. I sweat, breakout in hives, etc. So we are DEF going to be taking lessons before the wedding, hopefully get all the hives out of me before the event!

That's awesome Kate!! I wanted to enter a dancing class but he isn't too fond of it. SO I said fine I'll go alone, now he's re-thinking cuz he doens't want me dancing with any other guys. Which i totally understand... heh hopefully he changes his mind. Otherwise I won't go.

I would like to learn nice dances... but I think our wedding dance will be a fun dance. Shawn has his heart set on the dirty dancing finale (note aviator photo!). I think that'd be really fun and more entertaining for our guests... I'm just nervous about his lifting me in a dress which I anticipate to be strapless!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
