nmurch you get married the day I arrive!! I have been struggling with STD and invites. I agree I would like them to have a pop about them but not cost me a fortune. I can't decide on both or just invites and I am putting the cart way before the horse anyway as I don't have a guest list together yet anyway (mine or the FI, who claims to have over 500 people for it!) You sound so much more organized than I am. What are your plans for location and the like?

Josie: I thought about shoes like that but them someone mentioned what happens if you get sand in them? They will be like sandpaper with all the shoe material. I need to stop listening to people!

nmurch: what are your colors? Maybe I have to buy them from you in Mexico :P. He is your Jr. High sweetie? That is so romantic! I can't believe that you have waited two years already for the wedding and have almost another to go!

I might be more ahead if that was the case. We are not "officially" engaged as he has not asked that question, just "when are we getting married" and then started to plan. We are doing the ceremony at the gazebo and I haven't figured out the reception site yet, outside or open air restaurant for sure. We are going to Mexico in January, right? I am trying not to add too much for cost and luggage reasons. I don't want to have to figure out how to get all of that down there and back. I do want some personal touches though and need to figure out how to make that happen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
