An all-inclusive luxury property for adults only, Secrets Excellence Punta Cana knows romantic weddings, honeymoons and anniversary getaways. Located on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean's fastest growing resort area, the property is nestled among a forest of 7,000 palm trees on a remote stretch of shoreline.

Secrets caters to couples' every wedding and honeymoon wish. Taking advantage of one of the resort's many nuptial packages, the bride will arrive at the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage to say "I do" seaside beneath a shaded wedding gazebo. Honeymoon and anniversary packages include a champagne breakfast in bed, spa treatments and a private beachfront dinner.

During the day, the resort becomes an adult playground, with two full pools (including swim-up bars), fitness center and watersports. Balmy nights offer endless activity with live stage shows, seven gourmet restaurants and a casino. Offering complimentary wedding and honeymoon packages, plus discounts for returning couples, it's no secret that Secrets Excellence Punta Cana promises romance again and again.

Wow! Tammy those pictures are excellent! I went to Punta Cana last August and stayed at the RIU Palace Punta Cana. We had the most wonderful time. I do have pictures... (there is a really pretty gazebo) Maybe some know more than me, but there are 5 RIU hotels all next too each other, so guest can probably stay at the resorts depending on their budget, and you pay about 35-50 dollars I think to come to the wedding on the property you are staying at...

I love the location of the gazebo by the beach with palm trees surrounding it.

I have 100 % decided on my wedding location yet but Excellence is my top choice.

Yes, their gazebo looks beautiful. You might want to check out Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana as well b/c their gazebo is also really nice (at least in pics ... I won't know for sure until we get there for our honeymoon). They are in the same price range.

We had a tough time deciding between Excellence or PPR for our HM.

I am trying to decide if Excellence is right for me. I have a question, do you know if the per person price (after the 20 included in the package) includes alcohol?? What areas are best for larger groups for a private reception? Do you have any pics?

The Excellence is a super nice resort. Becca & I went there last year for our 25 anniversary and had a blast. We didnt do much with the weddings there as we were trying to lay low but I did snap a few shots of the flowers and a bride on her way to the Gazebo. Here are some shots we took while there. Hope you like them.

This was used from time to time to bring brides to the gazebo. I unfortunately didnt have my camera with me when we saw the bride actually in it.

We were just sitting there having a drink and this lovely brides wedding started right in front of us. I couldnt resist and took a shot of her getting it all together and then the next shot shows her on the way to the gazebo. The resorts approach to the gazebo is really nice and you should be able to get some awesome photos.

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
