Thanks Norma! Good to know that if I really wanted to get my date set now I could. Unfortunately I cannot decide what resort I want. My ideas change daily, hoping to meet with a travel agent soon which should help.

Yes, I've actually already booked our wedding for May 2012 with our resort.  They also told me that I couldn't book until 2012 prices came out but I just kept at it until they gave in.  I'm still having to wait for 2012 prices for the extra stuff we want but I at least got the 2011 package rate.  My WC told me that 2012 prices should come out in late October/November so you don't have that much longer to wait.  Are you planning to get married at the Gran Caribe or another resort?  I'm not sure about other resort prices but my guess is they come out around the same time.

I know what you mean, it's hard deciding when you aren't there to see everything in person.  There are so many great resorts though.  I'm sure whichever you decide to go with, will be great!

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I feel like all I do all day long is look at resorts and try to compare. Have you narrowed yours down to a smaller list at all?

@Aumuller -

Cancun and Turks & Caicos are my top destination. Then sometimes I catch myself looking at hotels in Punta Cana or Aruba. But Cancun and Turks are my TOp 2 for sure.  How about you what are you thinking about?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
