I just wanted to give you a heads up that Azul Beach won't do weddings for more than 50 people. I know because that was actually our first choice, but we are expecting 70-80 guests. I talked with their WC directly and she said they cannot accommodate more than 50 people for a ceremony OR a reception. However, if you are planning to do your wedding off-site, then it may be an option for you!

We ended up choosing Ceiba del Mar... I'm excited to hear how your site visit goes. Take lots of pictures! :)

I am going to take a TON of pics and promise to post them!

But this was back in January as well, so things may have changed. Regardless, you'll get to meet them in person, so you'll get all the info straight from them! I'm very jealous of that:) We're hoping to do a site visit to Ceiba del Mar in the fall.
Azul Beach can now do more than 50 guests. In fact, they are trying to move any current bride from the Blue Terrace with less than capacity for the venue. Catch 22 is that capacity is 80 ppl - so when we all booked we had to have less than 50 guests so none of us have even close to 80. Cheeky bastards!

Look out for my review in 6 weeks!!!!

Amy - Thank you for letting me know! This is sad news for me though, as we really wanted Azul Beach and didn't book it because we're expecting 70-80sad.gif Oh well, I'm happy with our choice and I'm sure it'll be great as well. I can't wait to see your review though! That is frustrating about them moving you, I would refuse based on the fact that their rules have changed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
