11:00 am ceremony. Bad choice?

Recommended Posts

My daughters ceremony is 11:00 am on the beach. I couldnt sleep last night for thinking that our friends are going to be broiling in the sun and miserable. Will the ocean breeze help enough? Has anyone done a ceremony this early in the day? I've always traveled to Mexico in the summer, so maybe it's not as hot now??

Hmmm it may not be that bad at 11am since it is still early. If it were at like 1 or 2 pm I would be a little worried. Is there a reason she wanted an early ceremony? Most DW brides do the evening simply for the beauty of the sunset :)

jenniesmom you are a great Mom! I wish my Mom was here to help, then maybe I wouldn't be losing hair.

Anyway, I wanted a wedding at 11AM also so that everyone would have time to enjoy the rest of their day. I figured anytime earlier would risk getting myself ready. Plus I'm sure my guest would like to sleep in after staying up late the night before.

We are having lunch (off-site) then when we return to resort the rest of their time is all theirs!!! I may have optional excursions planned but for the most part everyone can enjoy their vacation.

Hello , I am indipendent wedding planner working since 2004 in the Riviera Maya...I am sorry to disappoint you but in April at 11.00 AM it sounds pretty crazy to me...I never organize in my career weddings at that time...I only organize weddings like one or 2 (max) hours before the sunset time...actually I am mad when I read staff like that ...how a professional wedding planner can suggest such a terrible time to get marry? Well, try to move your time If not everybody will boil on the beach ...and also the light for the pictures will be too strong at that time, and you will not have good pictures. Good luck ...let me know If you need any extra tips!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
