BDW Biggest Loser ~ Season 9!

Good morning ladies. Sunstarsmoon, I am so sorry to hear about your FI. I hope he is doing well.

This weekend FI and I were out of town, I took all my workout clothes but we didn't end up having time to work out. Also I did give in on Saturday and go to Olive garden (my favourite when we are state side). I ate healthy there for the most part (except for the bread sticks). I am happy to report that despite my weekend of no exercise and only okay eating there was no change in my weight this morning. Today, back to the regular routine.

Renee, it was great to meet you on Friday. I hope we can do it again soon.

Good morning Ladies! SO i've been MIA for the past week but I have been keeping up with the posts. Congrats Jenny!

I'm hoping I have a better week this week but with my wedding only 5 weeks away I have to admit I think the nerves are getting to me. I'm doing weight watchers online and softball is starting up this Friday so that'll be a good stress reliever.

Does anyone else mix up their types of exercise? I do ballet once a week, softball and spinning once a week and see a personal trainer once a week for circuit training and kick-boxing. I find the variety keeps me motivated.

Wow, Heather, that is amazing. I am not mixing it up too much right now because FI and I have started P90X so my main exercise right now is that we take the dogs on a long walk and do P90X every night. When there is enough time, I also run on the treadmill or outside but the walks and P90X already add up to almost 2 1/2 hours so it is hard to fit it all in. Come May, my beach volley ball and soccer will start up so I will throw those into the mix one night a week each. Though realistically, on the nights I play volleyball and soccer, I will probably not do P90X. There just isn't enough time in the day.

Wow, you ladies are doing really well!! I only exercised twice last week at the gym doing LesMills BodyCombat and BodyPump Monday and Wednesday night but seriously, I needed the rest of the week to recover, I was that sore!

I was really bad on the weekend. I had Chinese food (high carbs, lots oil & sodium, etc.) and pizza. I leave for China this Saturday with my FI for two weeks and I'm a little stressed about that. I have never come back with less than 5 extra pounds and that's a lot for me as I am a petite Asian female.

I'm going for BodyCombat class again tonight and BodyPump on Wednesday. I also plan to go for a walk or bike ride on Tuesday night. I have P90X at home but I find it soooo hard to motivate myself! Plus, we have a one bedroom apartment and almost no space. sad.gif

Bikegirl, it sounds like you are doing what you can. Everyone is different. As long as you are doing something, that's awesome. My problem is that I am already generally active so to lose weight I have to ramp it up and eat better. Eating well is definitiely harder for me then exercising is.

Have fun in China! Sounds like a very cool trip. Maybe just pack your sneakers and try to add some extra activity in if you can. Like if you are going somewhere not too far away, walk there. Btw, we missed you at the Friday meet up.

^ That's a great idea! I was going to bring flats and fashion sneakers but now that you mention it, I may go buy a pair of Skecher's Shapeups or those Reebok Easytones. Even if they are not as effective as the ads claim, it would be better than nothing!

Too bad I missed the Friday meetup with you ladies but I will definitely come next meet up! :) Actually, I'm going to post a restaurant suggestion in the Toronto meetup thread after this.

Yes, we did miss you bikegirl! Have an AWESOME time in China. :)

And Cindy, it was really nice meeting you as well -- I only wish I could have stayed longer. We'll definitely have to do it again!

Oh my god... it's that time of the month and I'm having a major chocolate craving here. I think I'll run and get a coffee with splenda to curb my sweet tooth! AHHHHHH!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
