I know there hasn't been many Rockhouse brides on here, but for anyone that knows... what are the different areas of the hotel for the reception and which one was better?

It's pretty small, I stayed as a guest. How big is your wedding?

It will be 60-85 guests. We stayed there for 2 days back in September, but for the life of me I can't visualize the areas. Guess I wasn't looking with "bridal eyes" back then, lol.

I recall they told me the reception could either be at the restaurant or around the pool. To do it at the restaruant though you have to be able to guarantee that you will spend a certain amount of money for them to close it to the public, so the pool venue is for smaller receptions.

Hi - Sorry this is late but it looks like you have TONS of time before you have to decide on your wedding. We got married at the rockhouse - wei + rey - our wedding photos are here:

We decided rather last minute whether or not we wanted to have it by the pool or restaurant. Ultimately with 65 people we decided the pool would be better, bc it's outdoors and the dance area is all in one place.

If you prefer a more intimate feeling, the restaurant is nice too. Happy to answer any questions about this. I've been meaning to post all of my hard work/findings related to our wedding, but just haven't had a chance!

Thanks for the info joemama! I actually ran across your site when I was doing a google search for Rockhouse weddings. But the link above to your pics gives me such a greater view of the various wedding/reception areas that I could not remember.

I'm getting married at the Rockhouse in mid August and I chose to do it outside by the pool. The restaurant looks nice too but I think the atmosphere by the pool gives you more of a party feeling. Inise at the hotel told me that if it rains a lot that day they'll change it to restaurant which I'll be ok with since it's also a pretty location.

Yes, I'm leaning towards the pool as well- so very pretty! I was also wondering about that big open space next to the 1st villa before Pushcart Restaurant...

Hi Joemama18, your wedding looks amazing!!! I am considering RockHouse for the wedding and we have around 60 guests. Did all of your guests stay at the rockhouse, or somewhere else?
