I have been engaged for 5 years..yes long engagement due to school and important things going on in our lives and I was just 20 when I got engaged so not to bad lol but now the most important day of our lives is just beginning!!! We are looking to do a destination wedding in July 2011 and have been looking at spots in Jamaica and Mexico (but no Cancun more like Cozumel or Riviera Maya etc) but I am so picky. I want a real nice spot where they do beautiful weddings and no hassles. I don't want Sandals/Beaches/Club Med because that is way out of budget for us and my guests. So this is what I have been looking at that I absolutely love but have no idea on how they are:

Riu Ocho Rios

Iberostar Rose Hall suites Montego Bay

Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa Jamaica

Cozumel Palace in Cozumel Mexico

Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf resort and spa

and lastly lol...

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa Riviera Maya/Tulum

I can go on and on but if someone can help me out on which resort is best or any experiences, that would be awesome! I am very excited!!

Welcome to the forum!

Cozumel place is the only one that I am not 100% positive I've read reviews on, but otherwise there is information on all of those resorts in this forum! You will love it!!

Search feature is definitely your friend, and otherwise, just start poking around!

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
