Majestic Colonial- Steakhouse

Recommended Posts

Ladies, I am officially booked for May 14, 2011!

I am doing the steakhouse for dinner, however, I only have the set menu. Have any past brides used the steak house?

Reviews?

Also, can you order something different?

AND...how is the set up? What does the restaurant look like?

Thanks ladies!

Meal: steak and grouper, roasted veggies, potato

Set-Up: One or two long tables depending on group size, you are set up in a corner of the restaurant but there are other guests near you but your group is defined and no one is that close. They do candles on the table. Check out the link on facebook majestic brides for pictures or the majestic photo gallery. I think it looks nice and that's exactly what I was going to do. We have a smaller group so i looked into other options. Also, if someone is a vegetarian you can get pasta or if someone doesn't each steak/fish you can do chicken, but no major substitutions or they will mostly charge.

I'm also doing dinner at the steakhouse.  I'm a little nervous because I booked the Wet bar from 9-11pm for a private party.  I know dinner at the steakhouse starts at 6:30 pm.  I'm hoping 7-9pm is enough time for all my guests to eat and then head to the Wet Bar.  I want to have enough time to party! I'm expecting a fairly large group 50-60.  Also, does anyone know how far the Wet Bar is from the Steakhouse?  Thanks.

For brides who have already been married at the Majestic and had the free dinner at the steakhouse, did you tell the WC ahead of time how many people would need chicken/pasta plates because they don't eat fish/steak or do you just let them know once you get to the restaurant?  How did you go about getting this information from your guests?  Right now, I have 70 people booked.

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to the question posted previously regarding giving your vegetarian numbers beforehand? I know I have at least one and I'm wondering when that request needs to be submitted.

Also, this is semi-related to the steakhouse discussion, if I bring down my own chair sashes for the ceremony will the staff relocate them to the steakhouse for the reception later?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
