Need advice on living situation!!

Recommended Posts

I don't see what the problem is. If there's any chance of saving money you should jump at the chance!!! And then if you could stay at your parents house for 6 months free you could save more than enough for a down payment. imagine if you could save that $1700 for six months??

I say live free in your parents house while you can and save up. and as Bachatabride said make sure youre putting the money aside because its so easy to say well i do have extra money so i can do x but remember your saving for a purpose so just put it in another account. good luck

I agree with everyone, take your parents up on their offer. However, it may seem like you get along with your FI's father now but things change when you are living with someone. Everyone has their own pickyness and rules of conduct in their house. Not to mention it will be your first 6 months of marriage! But if you can handle it and look at the benefit you will gain, go for it. Good luck!

omg definately go with this!!! a year goes by soooo fast and you'll be saving a lot of $$$ for a down payment. plus your FI will hopefully have a job soon (fingers crossed) and you'll both be on your feet. I think it's a great way to star off. plus if you ever need your own space, you could sneak away to a hotel for a night or two and relive the honeymoon wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
