Beyonce diet

Has anyone tried the lemon/pepper/maple syrup cleanse diet?

Beyonce apparently lost 20 pounds in 14 days.

I would love to lose that much before my wedding. Even 10 would be great.

I think I may try.... running out of time.

Anyone one try? Did it work?

I just read up on it a bit by googling. It sounds horrid. Pepper, lemon juice and syrup mixed as a drink for days? Not for me. It also suggest salt water flushes. For me... hours of sitting on the toilet to "cleanse" me.. no thanks. It's really not a healthy way to lose weight. I think I'll just stick to watching what I eat and ramping up the cardio.

If it works for you, great! It's just not my cup of tea.

I personally haven't done it but considered it. I read a really interesting blog about it and decided it wasn't for me.

There are a lot of side effects that someone like Beyonce has the luxury of dealing with. you should be completely off and able to stay at home and rest during that time. There are intense headaches associated with this type of cleanse due to hunger and the elimination of caffeine, etc. They body goes through a big shock. I read that you should keep away from all kinds of food because of the temptation, but that after a few days food begins to become nauseating.

You do lose quite a bit of weight, but it is mainly water and poo (for lack of a better term). Because of that, you will gain about 50% of the weight back within a few days. Also, having not eaten in that amount of time, you have to let your body slowly adjust to having food again and that transition takes about a week. You start off with liquids only then gradually work your way up to eating solids again.

I agree with the other girls. Cutting out refined sugars, white carbs, excess fats, sodas, etc. is probably a better way to go. Add in some cardio and plenty of sleep and you will see longer lasting results.

I have done this clease for a short time to start a nutritioanl program and it was HORRIBLE!

THe salt water flush is horrible enough.

Also if you researched further, Beyonce herself said it was a horrible and unhealthy way to lose weight and would never recommend it to anyone.

BTW, it is not a weight loss program at all, but is infact called the Master Cleanse if you want to look into it further.

I agree with the other posters. Also, I don't think this would give you lasting weight lose. You might even gain all the weight back before your wedding date which would completely defeat the purpose of putting yourself through this torture.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
