Questions to brides planning in Mexico!

Hello Everyone,

My fiancé and I have been engaged since Dec 10 and have decided to have a destination wedding! I started out planning for one of the Sandals resorts in St Lucia, but we have decided that Mexico will be more affordable for our guests. I am experiencing the same frustration as others in my search because the 2011 rates are not out yet. Can anyone please give me some info or experiences that you have in dealing with the 3 resorts that I have selected....

The Royal - Which resort is nicer Cancun or Playa De Carmen?

Le Blanc

Secrets Maroma Beach

I just found this site and it has already been so helpful! I look forward to learning more!

Congratulations to you! I looked at all three of those resorts too. I researched Trip Advisor. I finally decided to book The Royal Cancun because of the price and the location. I really liked Secrets Maroma Beach too. I have never been to either one, though. Good Luck to you! :)

Yeah the prices for 2011 are not quite out yet. and I also think it depends on how popular the resort is. If it's a popular resort then i'm sure you'll have prices for 2011 at least the beginning of the year. and also if you have a TA then it should be no problem for them to get those prices you need.

Hello All!

Wer have decided on Secrets Moroma Beach! I am in the process of trying to work out travel arrangements for my wedding next 1/11. I have had a few phone interactions with an agent from Beach Bum Travel Agency and I am questioning using them. Has anyone had any experience with them? Thanks so much! Also if anyone has any other reliable suggestions for a TA I am all ears!

Hello and congratulation , as wedding planner in the Riviera Maya since 2005 I know very well the area, there are a lot of hotels, it's depend If you prefer a boutique hotel or all inclusive, usually our clients stay in all inclusive and then have their wedding outside the hotel because it is more private ( we dont like so much the idea of having tons of people watching your wedding) , the level of hotels are pretty good , it depends how much do you want to spend and If you want an only adults or kids wellcome.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
