ARGG! I know I still have plenty of time, but I was pretty much done planning when my photographer backed out!! She decided that she doesn't want to do destination weddings anymore so has no reason to waste the time!!! Now I have to rethink my whole wedding!!! I was originally going to do the resorts free package but now I think I'm going to upgrade to the ultimate package so I can get photography included! So much to do now. Oh well, just wanted to vent. Thanks.

So sorry that your photographer backed out. Where are you getting married at? I am getting married at The Royal Cancun and I am working on booking an outside vendor for my photos and video. I wasn't too happy with their "house" photographer. Good Luck to you!

I'm so sorry to hear that. AT least you have time to find someone else. Maybe you can find someone in the area. Check the Cancun section for photog suggestions.

        Good Luck!!

Thanks. I am getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun. Because I am getting married on a Saturday most of the Cancun photographers are already booked for my date. I have entered on of the phtog contests in the venders section so I will cross my fingers. The "house" photographer for DRC doesn't look too bad I'm just bummed because I really wanted to do a TTD also. I may still be able to find someone to at least do a TTD a couple days after my wedding. It is just frustrating that someone can back out. Not only was she doing my wedding but we booked an engagement session in 3 weeks that she said she no longer wanted to do. I guess its for the best and I'm glad she told me sooner rather than later.

sounds like she's having some issues. I hope you at least get your deposit back.

Sorry to hear about this! I hope you are able to find someone new! I think that was quite unprofessional of your photogopher. Even if she no longer wanted to do destination weddings, she should have honored her commitment. :/ Keep us posted!

Sorry to hear your photographer back out. However, it is a good thing it happened sooner than later. You still have time to come up with other options. Good luck!

Holy crap how unprofessional! Didn't you sign a contract? She can't just say I don't want to do it. I'd fight this. Obviously you don't want someone like that photographing your wedding, but seriously, get your deposit back and drag her reputation through the mud.
What were her reasons for not wanting to do the engagement session? She sounds like a real diva.

wow!! you really do need to find out why and if you did sign a contract you need to take her to court. That's horrible for business.
