So I've actually been quite lazy but we did the white board guest book and it worked out great! Like I said, I've been lazy so I haven't printed the pictures into a book, yet!!! But here are some shoots from the wedding. My cousin was the "photographer" for this and just went around during the cocktail hour and took everyone's picture. Some did come out a bit reflective because of the surface of the white board but that's where the beauty of digital photography comes in and being able to look at the picture, deleting it if it doesn't turn out well and taking another!

NaM: I love your photos-I like the way they all wrote very big.

I saw the idea on this site-the bride posted a link to her shutterfly account. I am having guests write big and using a digital camera so we can make sure the picture is good-without a white flash spot in the pic.

I had never heard of this idea before joining this forum. I've absolutely fallen in love with the idea, and am so excited to see how it turns out!

We did a photo guestbook! I ordered ours through shutterfly and put all of our favorite pics from our relationship and through the years. And people signed it like a yearbook and loved it! I love going through it and looking at what everyone wrote!

I love the whiteboard idea but dont want the reflective shots. I wonder if using a chalk board and chalk would be better...

I recently saw a blog with a wedding that had chalk boards all over as part of the decor..like little chalk boards on the tables with the table numbers on them and two large chalk boards by the doors to the reception, one with the table seating chart and another one with the menu for the wedding meal on it. I thought it looked SOO cute! Just another idea..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
