Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just got engaged over the holidays and we are looking for November/December 2010 wedding in Cuba. My sister got married at the MLD in 2008 and we absolutely loved the resort/location, etc. However, we would like to get married in a different resort to keep the memories that we have of hers special, so this one is out of the question.

Since we loved the location (beach was WOW!) we were considering other resorts in the same area but need something family-friendly because many of our guests will be bringing their young ones. We have looked a bit into the new Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria, which is still under construction but has 2 phases opened already. The resort looks big but very nice and since we plan on going off-season (Nov. 2cool.gif it shouldn't be an issue. However, I haven't seen many reviews on weddings there and would very much appreciate any suggestions!!

Thanks in advance! :)

I went to this resort twice and got engaged the last time we went! We are getting married there as well on April 13, 2011 :) I haven't been able to find much on it either. When I was there in March the WC showed me some pictures and it looked really good. I am hoping more people will post reviews of weddings at the Barcelo as well!

A reply!! Finally!! That's great news, congrats on ur engagement and upcoming wedding. Since my last post, we decided to go ahead and book and we are getting married on December 1st 2010. We already have 21 ppl booked! So I can provide you with info prior to your wedding! Do you have many pics of around the resort or areas where they can do the ceremony? Thanks!

Were you able to get in touch with their wedding co-ordinator?

Thanks,

Hey Ladies !

Congratulations on your weddings ! My FI and I are planning our wedding for April 2012 and we are very much leaning towards Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria or Melia Las Dunas. I am going to visit these locations in May to help me make up my mind !

Please post back your reviews of your special day ladies !

Danielle :)

My Fiance and I are also getting married at the Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria on February 1, 2012. I would LOVE to see any pictures that are avaliable.

We too chose this resort for the family friendly atmosphere. Only down side is the limited information about the weddings. I am in contact on a regular basis with the wedding coordinator. I would love to hear about any of the experiences you all have with your weddings! Please post back soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
