How does this look for a tentative schedule?

We skipped the rehearsal dinner with our bridal party and just did the welcome dinner with everyone. I mean, we didn't actually get to practice the wedding, so it was kind of silly to have a dinner to practice :)

I was going to say the same thing. We decided to skip the rehersal dinner & had a welcome dinner for everyone.
Would you be willing to have 1 welcome dinner for everyone instead of a rehersal dinner for the bridal party?
Not that its a big deal but what will the rest of your guests be doing while you're having the rehersal dinner? Sometimes ppl see things such as "bridal party only" and feel excluded, probably more so when its a DW & everyone is there.

i figure that they could have free time/time on their own while we are rehearsing and having dinner. I do not want to tie up ALL of their time. I want to allow plenty of time for beach bumming and enjoying what they want to do too!

I figure we have them all day with group stuff on Saturday, so Sunday give them a break the day before the big soiree and let them do their own thang!

Diva - you've thought of it all. Amazing!!!

We will have a Welcome Dinner for everyone without a separate Rehearsal dinner. We will just "rehearse" before going to the dinner to meet everyone. Or at least I hope we get to rehearse or at least run through who will be going where and when.

You have a lot of wonderful ideas! My advice is to keep it simple. Don't worry about having too many activities planned.a group activity can be something as easy as a "beach day" . I think one gathering or maybe two is more than enough.when I first started planning I also created a schedule but we decided to just have a welcome gathering at a lounge with drinks and lite good plus the wedding. Some guests will be leaving the day after the wedding so we won't do anything formal after the wedding day except maybe meeting up at the club or casino.

I replied with my blackberry... not an easy thing to do! Well what I was trying to say was one or two events per day should be enough. Your guests will be so excited to just be on vacation . I wanted a welcome dinner AND farewell brunch but then I looked at our budget( we're not at an all inclusive resort) and decided to just stick with a welcome reception at a lounge the night before the wedding. Guests can meet us AFTER they have dinner for drinks and I may give out small oot bags. No rehearsal dinner for us, we only have a BM and MOH.

I had a rehearsal dinner planned and then didn't get to rehearse because of my drama filled travel schedule. People really appreciated not having every minute planned for them. I say keep it simple, but fun. Your schedule looks good, but IMO it is really busy. Guests arriving, the brunch/ guys outing and then a group activity, then a welcome reception? Your guests are going to be worn out girlie! I agree with Sheree 1 or 2 activities a day will be more than enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
