Bridesmaids Lunch

Recommended Posts

I have never heard of that but all of a sudden saw that as part of a wedding budget spreadsheet that I'm using. Are we expected to do an official "bridesmaids lunch"huh.gif Or is this an old school tradition that is optional?

hmmmm, well I guess you technically could have one, but I am not. I have never heard of this as a tradition. Each of my 3 BMs live in a different state, and I do not live in the same state as any of them either, so that would make it hard!

We are having a "slumber party" the night before the wedding though wink.gif

Its definitely optional. I was a bridesmaid in a DW that had a bridesmaids lunch the day before the wedding, and included the MOB/MOG and other close female family members of the bride. We showered the bride with lingerie for the honeymoon. Meanwhile the guys went on a deep water fishing trip together. It was really fun, but not a requirement.

I definitely would say it's optional. I did one the morning of my wedding. We all met for brunch in the buffet. It was nice to get together and joke around a little before we got all dressed up.

Wow the slumber party is a great idea!!! Especially since FI will be with his 'boys' that night. Love it!

Great feedback ladies. I just didn't want to leave people out since they have all traveled so far. But then again it sounds nice to just spend time with my special girls before the big day. Will definitely help me with stress :)

I figure it will be fun to sit around in jammies with my girls (BMs and girlfriends traveling down) the night before in my room, stay up and talk and have beverages wink.gif

Our wedding is not until 5pm the next day so I figure we can sleep in, if I sleep at all from all of the excitement!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
