Beaches Negril

Hello,

My name is Latisha and I am getting married July 9th, 2011 at Beaches Negril. I have my first phone session with Renee Phillips next Wednesday on the 31st.

I have no idea what I want. I see a few people have had weddings there, I was wondering if adding things on to the package can really become pricey. I am doing the beautiful beginnings and just adding on to that. I am more concerned with having a nice party vibe for an extended period of time. My wedding starts at 4 but i want to party til 11. Is that going to cost me an arm and a leg? Any tips on how to cut costs?

Hi Latisha! You've got plenty of time before your big day and this site willbe a great resource. Definitely make sure you establish all the pricing beforehand so that you don't get stuck with any surprise fees. As previously mentioned, check out the Jamaica forum for more info! Happy planning. :)

hello, we looked at that resort but went with Hilton Rose Hall outside Montego Bay in the end. Our wedding is at 4pm followed by an informal bbq on the beach with a private bar. We are paying for a consumption bar until 7pm. We have 34 guests with us from the UK who are staying at the hotel with us as AI guests but also have our Jamaican family joining us until 7pm,we just couldnt afford to pay for a bar all night. Even though you are AI guests you still have to pay for drinks and food for everyone. We are hoping the party will continue once they have departed (its a working day for them) at one of the bars near the beach. We are also having a party on the Saturday at my mother in law to be's house in Falmouth so will be doing it all again then for longer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
