Overwhelmed

Hi my Name is Jodie and my fiancé and I are getting married in early January 2011.

We want to get married on a cruise (At a beach at a cruise stop) Or at a ALL INCLUSIVE resort in the Caribbean. There are so many! I want a good balance between a good price and a fancy resort., I am nervous about putting all my faith into a resort for the most important day of my life… Also the photography prices for some resorts are just crazy! If anyone has any good experiences they could tell me about or any advise it would be so useful! Thanks so much.

I understand where you're coming from- trying to pick a location is really overwhelming at first. It's such an important day and it's hard to just pick somewhere you've never been. You can find all kinds of reviews here on this site- it's really helpful to hear what other people who have gotten married somewhere have to say. I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot- good luck!

Welcome to the forum Jodi!!

Which cruise are you thinking of going on? I have been on many, and with planning a wedding at one of the stops you have to be careful. If the weather is bad then they won't port at some docks. Especially if you have to be tendered in. So make sure you double check that.

All inclusives obviously you don't have that problem, but part of the fun with a cruise is getting to go to so many different places!

Either way, I'm positive you'll find exactly what you're looking for and have a dream wedding! Best wishes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
