i am not a 'huge' fan of real touch flowers, so i am thinking of a local vendor and sending someone to pick them up. anyone know of a florist NEAR the MP? x
I am in the same boat. I really don't want to have to pack the real touch flowers plus with the amount that is spent on them, it is almost close to what MP charges. I am considering a cancun florist as well but I don't think it will end up working out. But MP prices on flowers are crazy expensive. What I will spend on bridesmaid bouquets alone would cover an entire wedding here in the states.

yeah exactly my thoughts. i've emailed a florist and i'll wait to see what they say. I have a couple of guests staying at other hotels so i will see if they can deliver to them instead and they can bring them with them. i don't need much, but it MUST be cheaper. MP quoted me $30 per buttonhole!! that is ridiculous! i'd rather go and pick my own that morning and pin them on!

I emailed Marvin from Maya Diseno Floral (marvin@mayadisenofloral.com.mx) and he's been GREAT! he said we won't have problems with delivery (I'm only ordering four button holes and two corsages) as they will say that it was a gift paid for from someone in England and he's delivering them. They can't stop that apparently! so happy! and it's saving me more than 70%!!!

It cracks me up that he already knows how to work around their policies. I am going to check with him too. Thanks for the info!

I'm definitely doing Real Touch. The florist that I'm using actually packs the flowers for shipping and send pics of how they packed it, so you can re-pack them once you inspect your shipment. The MP flower prices are ridiculous!

BTW: I'm planning to "recycle" my BM bouquets into reception decor by placing them in vases on tables. I'm planning to get my money's worth!

Hi all,

For any of you that are using real touch flowers, do they look and feel pretty real?  I have found a couple websites that sell beautiful real touch bouquets, but I have never seen these before in person, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Thanks!

HI Woodsy, I was wondering how this worked out for you... any problems when they delivered the flowers? I'm getting married @ Beach Palace which is in the hotel zone, so hopefully Maya Diseno delivers there as well... just need a different bouquet or something! Also, did your WC onsite ask you where the flowers came from or any of that business? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
