Walking down the aisle??

Recommended Posts

My dilemma is that we just found out my dad is having heart surgery two days before my wedding...its not serious or life-threatening...but he will obviously not be attending my wedding sad.gif

My dilemma now is finding someone to walk me down the aisle.

Do you all think its weird to walk down with my 2 year old son?? He is the ringbearer anyway, and is a rambunctious little fella that needs the company while walking down to keep him from running wild. I personally think it will look cute, him all dressed up in his little tux....and hes such a cutie-pie!! lol...biased :)

Anyway, what do you guys think?? Weird or cute??

It is a very cute idea! But he cant necessarily "walk" you down the aisle lol.. it'll be more like YOU walking HIM down the aisle haha. Do you maybe have an older brother that could walk you and your son be on the other side of you? Either choice is adorable!! So sorry to hear about your dad! I know how that must feel sad.gif

Aww, that's such a cute idea! Alternatively, if your FFIL is part of the wedding, I'm sure he would love the honour of walking you down the aisle. I had my son walk with me, but he's in his 20's, so no worries about who was walking who down the aisle, LOL!

P.S. I hope you're dad's surgery is successful and that he has a speedy recovery. I'm sure he's bummed about the timing sad.gif

Thanks everyone for your kind words for my dad :) The timing is really sucky, but his health is way more important to me. My FILs are going to film everything for him so he doesn't miss a thing.

I think it would be very special to have Raiden(my son) walk me down. My 4 year old is the FG, so to have them both included in our wedding is super special.

My FMIL suggested having a friend walk me down, but i think since we aren't doing the whole traditional church wedding anyway, anything goes...& my dad is very happy with the decision. He says that the ONLY "little' man good enough to replace him is his grandson..lol

Thanks again girls!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
