Am I wrong to be upset? (FMIL dress)

I guess I'm lucky my FMIL is actually letting me and mom pick out what she is wearing to the wedding.  She really does not have a fashion sense at all and would wear gym shorts and a shirt and clogs with socks on if she could.  But she told us she doesn't want to look like she doesn't belond in the pics especially when she is standing next to my mom.  As my mom likes to always me dressed up.

I completely agree with the other ladies to let it go.  Be happy that she will at least look beautiful in her gown however the color might not be what you wanted.  There are much worse situations to really get mad at LOL

so funny - I actually started this thread and it's fun to come back and read what people say.  Well - the wedding is over and every time I look at pics I still get a little.. not so happy but in a slightly amused way.  She looks just like a bridesmaid but unfortunately, the dress was not very flattering and that opinion was shared by many, including my MIL.  At the end of the day - it really was not a huge deal and now I just laugh about it :)

Now..my cousin getting the wrong shade of blue for her son (ring boy) and me not seeing it until the day of the wedding....that's a whole other story hahahahaha

Maybe you are going a bit overboard.  Hopefully she did not do it on purpose.  Maybe  you can have the dressed embelished with another color (maybe use a flower broche or something) not sure what the dress looks like.

The point is that she should look different.  I agree with you on that.

In any event, she should be doing WHATEVER will make YOU happy on that day.  It is YOUR day and everyone should only be concerned about you having the most amazing day ever.

I hope it works out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
