To go All Inclusive or Not All Inclusive?

Recommended Posts

I'm looking Dreams PV or La Villa Estancia Nuevo Vallarta.....Dreams is AI, but the Estancia is a $500-600 price difference per person when it's just flight + hotel.

Is the location better for Dreams being in PV for places to walk around and party and such?

Is food hard to find in Nuevo? Or should i just keep it simple and do AI?

What is the majority of you ladies doing?

I think it depends on your group. For us we had over 60 people come so we wanted to keep it simple and have all the costs included up front so once our guests got there they didnt have to worry about budgeting for food or alcohol. The AI route made alot more sense for all of us.

I agree wtih Nadine. We went the AI route as well since we had 50 people and didn't want to worry about meeting everyone's budget needs for dinners/drinks and such. It was really nice to just walk up and grab a drink or snack whenever you wanted and not worry about carrying money with you. Dreams is not walking distance to town, but it is only a $5 cab ride and really easy to get into town and back. Drinks were a little pricey at the clubs and the food in town is not super cheap either.

I like both options and I actually considered Villa Estancia before picking Casa Velas. I do know that Villa Estancia has an all inclusive option and its reasonable. You may want to check it out! We were close to picking Villa Estancia b/c I have stayed there and REALLY liked it but ultimately we decided to pick CV to be closer to town and we wanted to go with a smaller boutique style hotel.

we stayed at La Villa Estancia in Cabo and left to go to the Rui cuz it cost us 800 dollars for 4 days...the food and drink cost were out of this world!!! and our friends who were staying at the Rui weren't even allowed to hang with us around the pool even though they were paying for drinks...we had to move the the public beach!!!! we will NEVER go to any La Estancia again. We loved the Rui, and Dreams (we stayed there last Nov in PV and are having our wedding there this Nov. )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
