For the Black Irish Faerie Princess

Recommended Posts

smile03.gifAwww Lizzy, you are too sweet. I saw the post and you made me smile, almost makes me want to change my user name, LOL. Yes I can totally see why you say I am black irish, it fits me to a tee. I have never felt more complimented then you have made me feel. I am not going to lighten my hair for the wedding now that I have looked at myself through your eyes. My dad would have loved this post, it's funny I grew up in such an irish household and no one had ever mentioned black irish to me before, I am the only one in my family who got the black hair. Is there any kind of stoies that go along with black irish that would have offended my grandparents catholic sensabilities, it is the only reason I can think of that I had never learned of black irish before. My dad was born and raised in Ireland, and his family was a very proud irish family. I had always dreamed of visiting Ireland with my dad, he died before we had a chance, it is on my dream list to visit one day soon.

Hey Kelly! Where is your family from in Ireland? I just visited last year - it was absolutely gorgeous! If I ever can, I would be so very happy to live there for a few years! Unfortunately, my travels only took me to Dublin - my family is from County Derry - up in Northern Ireland. Someday I'll get there!!!

I too want to go to Ireland sooo bad! Paul's mom and dad are from there ... moved over to the US about 40 years ago. so, so, SO proud of their irish heritage! Most of Paul's family is still over there ... he's a county Clare guy himself - we might actually go next year

Faerie Princess, there all kinds of interpretations of what the term "Black Irish" means, but this article gives a short rundown on them. I still think it is a beautiful thing to be and am happy that my daughter and I, and you my young friend, are so blessed to be one of them!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
