Stacy015 - what condo are you all staying at? I'm hoping to find a condo complex for our guests to all stay at together. Did you get a price break for booking a bunch together?

my guests and I actually all ended up renting people's timeshare weeks at Sands of Kahana - so no, we did not get any type of discount for bringing all of our guests to the same condo. I actually have an aunt that owns timeshare weeks there so it worked out good, and the prices for additional rooms (rented through owners) online was very reasonable as well. My FI's parents' room is actually a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo with at least 2 balconys - so they are having the food catered to their room and we are having the rehearsal dinner there.

I can say that our catering company which was recommended by our WC (Fay, Aloha Maui Weddings) was simply amazing and I would highly recommend them!!  Aloha Events Catering went way above and beyond our expectations... the service, the staff, the set-up, and most importantly, the FOOD was soooo impressive!

I had such a hard time deciding on a caterer seeing as how we planned everything from abroad, and not being able to taste the food or meet anyone was unnerving to say the least... well, I can say that our guests were so impressed and are still raving about the quality of Aloha Events!  They're asking "how did you find them?" and "how did you know they'd be soooo amazing?" and I just smiled and said that we got lucky :)

Honestly though, if you're trying to decide on a company that's reliable, makes awesome tasting food with great menu selection and is very reasonably priced (hard to find on Maui, and sooo worth the $), I'd definitley be happy to recommend Aloha Events.  It was such a relief that they were as amazing as I hoped (and lost sleep over lol)...

Good luck and enjoy your big days girls!

Fortunately, affordability it does exist on Maui. Cary & Eddie's Hideaway Restaurant, is a Full Service Restaurant Facility right on the shores of the Kahului Harbor. Cary & Eddie's have been in business for over 13 years at this Maui location, and were previously with Tony Roma's (California and Hawaii). The Ilikai Hotel (Oahu, Hawaii), The La Quinta Resort Hotel and Golf Club (La Quinta, California).

With the Hideaway, the prices are inclusive of everything. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, taxes and gratuity. The prices are $22.00 for a luncheon Function and $32.00 for their Dinner Functions.

You basically pay for the Food, Beverages, Set Up, Taxes and gratuity with the set prices. Everything else is complimentary. Sound system, Wedding Site, Room Fees... EVERYTHING.

Food is prepared exclusively for your function by the owner, Eddie. Eddie also takes pride in making things less complicated for your event by assisting you with everything. Background music of your choice, Audio/Visual. If you need to use our oceanfront lawn for your nuptials, there is no fee for that either. Should you need to make it a little more upscale, Eddie will assist you with the rental company that will deliver lawn chairs for your special event.

Anyway, why would you want to spend a small fortune for an event that can be lust as special, and allow you savings that can be better used for your Maui Experience during your Honeymoon Stay. We still encourage you to patronize every possible Maui business, but do not need to empty the bank with the caterer and wedding site.

Check out some of the pictures and a complete menu on our web site....hideawaymaui.com

Also note that our complete menu is exposed with prices. We have nothing to hide. Unlike all these other business', we like to deal in Truth, Fairness, Goodwill and things that are Beneficial to everyone involved.

Aloha from Maui,

Eddie, Owner

Check out Cary & Eddie's Hideaway. Their menu and price structure for Special Functions is also posted online. Anyway. there is no reason to break the bank for such a special occasion. It won't be such a special occasion, is you spend the rest of the year paying for it.

hideawaymaui.com

Prices and $20.00 for Brunch, $22.00, for Luncheon or $32.00 for the Dinner. No hidden fees. Oceanfront and Affordable. Check our reviews on Trip-Advisor to get a little feedback on food.

Anyway,

Aloha from Maui

Eddie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
