MAC "Must Haves"

I seriously own at least 15 colors of MAC Lipglass! It's an addiction! But they have SO many great colors! Of course I can't remember the names right now. . . One was Spite ( I think) and one was O Baby - but those are kinda odd colors. The O baby is a browish/coppery sparkley one..sounds weird I know, but as a girl w/ olive skin..it works! And it's pretty sheer too so more sparkle than anything. The red that I have is called Russian Red I think...I usually put that on and blot it for a more subtle, matte look...or I'll put clear gloss over it sometimes. I too love the color Nymphette...but it actually looks odd on me for some reason. Just doesn't suit my skin/lip color. But it's really pretty.

Anyway - I keep the Studio Fix in my purse. Love it.

LIke the girls said - the shadows are great! SO many gorgeous colors!

I think I have their blush called Melba. . .it's a really pretty peachy color. I also have one that's kinda brownish colored. Looks unbelievably natural on me - looks crazy on my friend Monica who is fair w/ blonde hair! SO depending on your coloring...I'm not sure if I'd suggest it! lol!

Have fun MAC shopping!!! :-)

(random side note: It's not MAC, but if you're shopping for a new mascara, I just started using "Big Tease" by Bare Escentuals. Love it! )

Last weekend my sis and I got makeovers done at MAC in downtown Toronto and it was AMAZING! I bought everything that the make-up artist used because it looked so beautiful. I would highly recomment "Strobe Cream"---it's a opalescent moisturizer that reflects the sun--you wear it under your normal tint foundation and concealer. It looked stunning outside in the sunlight! Seriously my skin looked flawless! Also they have a really neat line of "Paints". They are like cream moisturizers that dry into a powder. It did not crease and looked great for the whole day.

Lol, Shelley, I also wear trax and vanilla. Vanilla I wear everyday on my brow line and the corners of my eyes, and Trax only for when I am going out.

They have the best concealor I have ever tried and I have tried lots, get it.

Other shadows are for my smokey eyes when I want them, I wear cork and bronze with my vanilla.

I also like the studio fix.

Hmmm, I will think of the rest of the ones I use and let you know, I have lots and lots and I love the stuff. They have awesome brushes as well.

Tara, just an FYI, I wear MAC every day, some form of it. And, I have great skin. I am not trying to brag, but my skin is the only thing I do not want to change. So, I think it depends on the person maybe, but I have never had a problem with MAC.

Oh man I recommend alot of their stuff.. here is what I use the most: Chai and Spite (I think) lipglass. I have a palette of four eye shadow colours that are awesome (for my eyes) but the staff can help you pick out the right colours for you. I have a powder that is awesome when I start to shine (cant remember the name). Also I have the neutral paint that I put on my eyes before the shadow and it stays put.. no creasing.

I have occassionally troubled skin (though as long as I stick to my cleaning and moisturizing regimen ((neutrogena and dove)) my skin behaves for the most part) and I use Studio Fix religiously. It's the only full coverage powder that doesn't look too cakey on me and can be worn w/out any foundation and leave my skin looking flawless. The only lip liner I'll wear on occassion is MAC's Spice as well. It's just neutral enough to go with most of my colors if I'm wearing lipstick.

Now with blushes, I'm still a very loyal lover of NARS Orgasm. It's a GREAT shade of peachy pink w/some gold speckles in it which just ends up giving you a nice naturally flushed look and a lil healthy glow to your cheeks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
